So Since the inception of Rocking For Rhinos in 2012, our small yet passionate crew has done 5 music festivals, 1 single day music event, 2 art exhibitions, 3 auctions and much much more in aid of Rhino Conservation in SA. Through our events and collaborations we have donated R777,046.00 to our verious beneficiaries. We have done this all outside of our day jobs and it's simply not enough!

And this time we thought to try something slightly different...

On the 26th April 2019, on behalf of Rocking For Rhinos, R4R founder Gareth Putter spent 30 days in a 2.5 x 2.5 meter living space ontop of a 16meter high scaffold tower, to raise both funds and awareness for the plight of our Rhino. This structure was erected at the entrance to the Montecasino Bird Gardens in Fourways, Sandton, Johannesburg, challenging corporate South Africa as well as individuals worldwide to get involved in the fight against Rhino poaching!

A massive shout out to Montecasino Bird Gardens, Johannesburg Scaffolding, The Fussy Vegan, The Great Outdoors - supply company, tours and safaris for making this activation a possibility!

Yes... The month up the tower is over for Gareth Putter, however the fundraising towards this is still open until the 7th July 2019!

​

We have been lucky enough to have been donated 18 AMAZING auction items, that collectively are worth over R150,000.00, towards this intitative. Some of these items include relaxing getaways, once in a lifetime experiences as well as some beautiful art pieces and more...
